Social Well-Being is the positive state of our relationships, our social stability and social peace. Social Well-Being is an achievement, facilitated by educational attainment and age. It is proven that people with good social connections tend to be healthier and live longer than those who don’t.
People are social creatures who are mutually dependent. To feel good, people need to love and be loved. We feel the need to belong and to be connected. People who are in solitary confinement for a long time can get psychologically damaged.
Social Intelligence
Social intelligence factors such as emotional intelligence, morals, upbringing, empathy, adaptability and altruism, are important for social Well-Being.
Social Status
Social Status and our role in society also plays a major role in our Well-Being. It appears that the household income is strongly related to life satisfaction. When prosperity in a society increases, social solidarity decreases.
Social Health comes from regular, positive and supportive social contacts with family, friends, neighbors, through work school, organizations, sport clubs, churches and other community groups and events.
Social Health involves your ability to forge satisfying interpersonal ties with others. It also relates to your ability to adapt comfortably to various social situations and act appropriately, in different kinds of settings.

What is PERMA?
Acronym for Positive Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning and Accomplishments.
Here are the five elements of Martin Seligman’s Well-Being theory:
-Positive emotions include a wide range of feelings: happiness, excitement, pride, satisfaction.
-Engagement refers to being involved in activities. This involves passion for and being focused on the task.
-Relationships bring positive emotions, whether they are work-related, familial, romantic, or platonic. Human beings give, receive, share, and spread positiveness to others through relationships.
-Meaning is also known as Life Purpose. Despite challenges, working with meaning drives people to continue striving for a desirable goal.
-Accomplishments are the pursuit of success and mastery. They can be individual or community-based, fun- or work-based.
What is Social Health?
